Sadly we have to give Andrea’s Family Restaurant in Winter Haven Florida a mixed review. What was good was very good but what was bad was really bad.
THE GOOD: This is a clean restaurant with a nice staff. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and delightful.
My wife ordered the chicken kabob platter that included two large skewers of tender chucks of chicken breast very nicely seasoned. Served atop a generous portion of Greek salad and rice pilaf. This was a delicious dish that she enjoyed very much.
COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: This category should read “awful.” I ordered the Gyros sandwich with a side of broccoli. The gyros came conveniently served with the burnt side down, as if we would not notice the gyro meat was dry and badly burnt (see picture). This dish should have never left the kitchen in this condition. Andrea’s does not cut their gyros off a spit but rather off from a slab and then fried.
