Oak Creek Brewery and Grill, Sedona Arizona

Our first time to visit Sedona and we wanted to find a great place to eat lunch.  We found it at the Oak Creek Brewery and Grill located inside the beautiful Village of Tlaquepaque.

THE GOOD: This is one very popular and busy restaurant. We found ourselves in a long line of people waiting to get in at the opening time.  When the doors opened people were seated quickly and orders were taken very shortly after that.  Our server, Auggie, was super pleasant.  There was no lag time for food to be delivered as this restaurant had food runners who brought us our drinks and meals very quickly.

For an appetizer we ordered the grilled shrimp skewer, lemon pepper marinated and drizzled with cocktail and chipotle sauce. Yum!

I ordered their half rack of “Red Rock Rack” BBQ baby back ribs, which came with coleslaw and French fries.  The sauce was house made and delicious. The ribs were meaty and cooked in a way the they were tender enough to fall off the bone yet still chewy enough to enjoy. The fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right.  The coleslaw was also house made fresh and contained small pieces of green apple and green raisins.

My wife ordered their “Chicken Verde Sandwich.” Grilled chicken breast on toasted sourdough bread and arugula, spinach, Swiss cheese and roasted red pepper.  She said it was delicious.

Their beer selection was large enough to cater to a variety of tastes.  I had their Nut Brown Ale and loved it.

COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: Nothing noted.
