We say goodbye to Punta Gorda with a final review of Elena’s Restaurant. We truly enjoy this popular dining spot that has both food and customer service down to a science.
THE GOOD: Elena’s is a very popular, large capacity restaurant that can get very full depending on the time of day. One day when we were here there was a waiting line with people outside. But don’t let that deter you as our wait only took a few minutes before we were seated. Even better we were greeted immediately, provided coffee and had our order taken right away. Before we could even drink half our coffee our food arrived. We were amazed.
Today I ordered London Broil steak with scrambled eggs and a side of sliced tomatoes. My steak was nicely seasoned, juicy and medium rare, just as requested. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the tomatoes were fresh and flavorful.
My wife ordered an omelette comprised of mushrooms, spinach and onions. She also requested the healthy option of forgoing bread and potatoes for sliced tomatoes. She loved her omelette and the only reason that she didn’t finish all of it was because she insisted that I try some of it myself. It was delicious.
We have to mention the servers being friendly, prompt and welcoming us to come back again soon.
