There are times when a great location with a very nice view can make a good meal into a very good meal just by the ambience. This was our experience today at the Village Fish Market Restaurant and Lounge in Punta Gorda Florida.
THE GOOD: We were satisfied with our breakfast and very happy with the prompt service from our server Emily.
I had a ham and cheese cheese omelette with fresh sliced tomatoes on the side. The omelette was large and the eggs were cooked to perfection, not over or under done. It came with ample American cheese and just enough Canadian bacon substituted for the ham. All in all was satisfying.
My wife had (two) scrambled eggs and a side of fresh spinach. Again the eggs were cooked just right and the spinach was tasty, ample and fresh.
The best part for us was an incredible location overlooking Charlotte Harbor. Located in the middle of a boardwalk with lots and lots of shopping, other restaurants and and a brew house.
Customers could choose to sit outside on the edge of the water or inside in a very clean and spacious environment.
This restaurant also has a full service bar for those who want to come in from the boardwalk and enjoy a cocktail.
COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: Nothing noted.
