My wife is on the quest to find the ultimate spinach omelette. Today we think she found it at Dwyer’s Cafe in Lafayette Louisiana.
THE GOOD: Let’s start with the service. We were greeted promptly when we walked in and immediately seated. Even though the hostess was not our server she quickly brought us coffee and even took our order since we knew exactly what we wanted. Our server showed up quickly and made sure that our coffee was continually full. Everybody was friendly to us the entire time we were there.
As we mentioned above, my wife found the ultimate spinach omelette. It was loaded full of spinach that was cooked properly along with large cuts of fresh mushrooms and onions. See the attached picture of her omelette opened up to get an idea how generous the veggies were packed in her dish.
I had my usual ham and cheese omelette which was also very delicious. It was packed full of thick cuts of ham and the cheese was enough to enhance the omelette with overpowering it. Both of us chose to substitute fresh tomatoes in lieu of carbs.I was pleasantly surprised at the number of tomatoes on our dish. Being in Louisiana I had to sprinkle my tomatoes with Creole seasoning. Yum.
COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: Nothing noted
