Our return visit to Port St Joe Florida necessitated a return visit to Jo Mamma’s Wood Fired Kitchen. We like this restaurant very much as we’ve always received great service and good food in the past. We especially like the back outdoor seating which is extremely dog friendly although today we dined indoors.
THE GOOD: We’ve had their pizza in the past, as well as sandwiches and delightfully decadent breakfasts. Today we went for their salads. The Caprese salad had fresh mozzarella and tomatoes on a bed of arugula and fresh basil. The homemade balsamic dressing was nicely emulsified and delicious.
I had the honey roasted grilled chicken on a bed of mixed greens accompanied by candied pecans, sliced strawberries, and shaved Parmesan. The dressing was a vinaigrette which was appropriately portioned providing great taste without drenching the salad.
