Suwannee Belle Landing Restaurant in Old Town Florida is a seafood restaurant on the bank of the Suwannee River. A local favorite with boat docks right on the river bank. They will even cook your own catch if you prefer. Check their schedule to enjoy live music. This is a two story restaurant with the downstairs open deck available for you to bring your dogs.
THE GOOD: The open air deck with a spacious view of the Suwannee River really makes this restaurant a fun place to enjoy a meal or have a cocktail at their full service bar.
Our server, Heather, was super attentive and made sure that our dogs were served just as well as we were. She promptly brought fresh water for the pups to quench their thirst.
I ordered the grilled Grouper that came topped with a crab cake and two sides choices. We chose zucchini and broccoli. The grouper, and veggies were a great choice, nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked.
My wife chose the seared Ahi Tuna appetizer which she loved. It also came with one side so she elected to have the asparagus. All were very good.
We both enjoyed an appetizer of hot shrimp with drawn butter and cocktail sauce. The shrimp were nice and large and done just right.
Lastly we ordered the french fries which were the best we ever tasted. Make sure to give them a try.
COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: The crab cake that accompanied the Grouper was large and plump. Unfortunately it was mostly filler.
