When you’re “Standin’ on the Corner in Winslow Arizona” on Mothers Day you want to top it all off with a great lunch and a few really good suds. We did that today at RelicRoad Brewing Company right across the street from the famous Route 66 corner.
THE GOOD: Where do we start? Great beer. Great service. Great food. And one of the greatest locations imaginable on Route 66 in Winslow Arizona.
We ordered two separate flights of their Arizona brewed beers. We loved all of them.
My wife ordered their Portabella mushroom burger with Swiss cheese. The Portabella mushroom was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful. It was accompanied by their homemade spiral cut potato chips which were quite nice.
I ordered the chicken wings which were large, cooked well, not breaded and meaty. The hot sauce had a nice sweetness to it but wasn’t overly hot so don’t be afraid to order it that way.
COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: Their French Fries were slightly under done and needed more seasoning.
