THE GOOD: Exceptionally well made “Chicago Dog.” Purists from the Windy City expect having all the key ingredients present in a true Chicago dog. Everything but a Vienna brand all beef hot dog were here. A poppy seed bun, beef hot dog, yellow mustard, diced onions, true Chicago neon green dill relish, dill pickle wedge, tomatoes, two sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt.
We spoke to the owner who told us that they sold their house and set out to fulfill their dream and open their own hot dog restaurant. They succeeded (big time) just around Thanksgiving of 2021. We love that are living their dream and pursuing their passion. We absolutely believe that they will be a success.
COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: Not much to recommended that the owners don’t already know and are taking steps to address. We could tell right away that the hot dogs were not Vienna brand but we were told they have taken measures to have them available next week. On a very good note they are keenly aware of what constitutes all the perfect ingredients to make up a Chicago dog and have taken every measure to live up to Chicago standards, including acquiring true neon green Chicago relish just last week at an added cost just to make it perfect.
We will be back again in our travels.
